Your Challenges, Our Responses

You are not accountable for "services" — you are accountable for outcomes: no major incident, high availability, defensible spend, and a clean story for regulators, partners and the board. Here are the five questions we hear most from asset managers, and exactly how BeamsConsult answers each.

1

"Prove to me my barriers will hold."

Major-accident risk is the exposure that ends careers and shuts down operations. You need to know your safety-critical elements are identified, that each has a defined performance standard, and that assurance proves — continuously — they will function on demand.

Our response

We build the full barrier-management chain: major-accident bowties, SCE identification and tagging, FARSI performance standards, assurance tasks aligned to your CMMS, and a live barrier-health picture. We concentrate inspection where the risk actually is with API 580/581 Risk Based Inspection, and verify safety-critical systems at the design stage before they are ever built.

2

"Stop the unplanned downtime."

Availability is your daily scorecard, and a single rotating-machine trip can take out a whole train. You need failures anticipated, not just repaired, and maintenance effort concentrated where failure behavior justifies it.

Our response

We rebuild maintenance strategy from criticality and failure behavior upward (RCM/FMECA), give special attention to the rotating equipment that actually stops production (condition monitoring, vibration diagnostics, RCFA), and quantify and defend your availability with ISO 20815 RAM modeling that ranks every improvement by production impact.

3

"Cut maintenance cost without adding risk."

You are asked to do more with less every budget cycle, and blunt cost-cutting only adds risk. In many programs there is meaningful room to optimize — tasks that address no credible failure mode, or that run on data of uncertain quality — without touching what protects the asset.

Our response

Our Preventive Maintenance Optimisation puts every task on trial against the failure mode it is meant to address, then rebuilds the CMMS foundation underneath — clean ISO 14224 hierarchies, master data and plans loaded to SAP PM or Maximo. The result is measured both ways: reliability up, cost down, tracked against a baseline you can show finance.

4

"Give me an auditable system, not heroics."

Performance that depends on a few key people walks out the door when they do. You need a system that delivers value predictably, survives an audit, and produces numbers partners, regulators and lenders will accept.

Our response

We develop asset management systems aligned to ISO 55001 — from honest gap assessment through SAMP to a realistic implementation roadmap — so value delivery is systematic, not heroic. We make your allocation defensible with rigorous Hydrocarbon Accounting, and prepare verifier-ready Carbon Footprint inventories for the scrutiny that is now coming from every direction.

5

"Get the next project right the first time."

Most of an asset's lifecycle cost and risk is locked in during FEED — yet operations and maintenance perspectives usually arrive too late to change anything. Inheriting an un-maintainable design is a decade-long tax on your budget.

Our response

We bring the operator's viewpoint into the design phase: independent design review and verification (RAM, maintainability, access, SCE performance) that builds reliability in before steel is cut, plus FEED development and EPC contracting support so the project is defined, contracted and executed with your lifecycle interests protected.

The Same Rigor, Delivered Faster — and It Stays With You

Whatever your challenge, our AI layer accelerates the heavy studies behind it — SCE, design review, criticality, FMEA & RCM, HAZOP — with a senior engineer approving every conclusion. And where an off-the-shelf tool won't fit, we build custom AI solutions around your assets that keep evolving after we leave.
